Uzbekistan exported gold worth $6.62 billion.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From January to October 2024, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $6.62 billion, according to the Statistics Agency.
Gold exports during this period decreased by 3.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
As of the end of October 2024, the share of gold in the total export structure was 29.5%, which is lower than last year’s figure of 33.6%.
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover for January-October 2024 amounted to $54.4 billion, increasing by $3.4 billion, or 6.7%, compared to the same period in 2023.
Of the total foreign trade volume, exports amounted to $22.44 billion (a 9.6% increase compared to January-October 2023), while imports were $31.92 billion (a 4.7% increase).
As a result, the foreign trade balance was negative, amounting to $9.48 billion.
