Best Solutions for Mining and Heavy Industries

The 14th International Exhibition Mining, Metallurgy, and Metalworking – MiningMetals Uzbekistan 2019 will be held from 5 to 7 November 2019 at the Uzexpocenter NEC, Tashkent. The organiser of the event is Iteca Exhibitions, the leader in organizing international exhibitions and conferences in Uzbekistan.

MiningMetals Uzbekistan is the leading specialised exhibition in Uzbekistan to display the whole range of technologies and services for mining, metallurgical, machine-building, and metalworking industries; it is an event included in the business calendars of managers, chief engineers, and chief metallurgists of leading industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan and Central Asia — those responsible for procurement of equipment and implementation of innovative technologies in the industry. The importance of the exhibition as the key industry event is evidenced by extensive government support, meaningful participation of major foreign manufacturers, coverage of all sectors of the industry, and a rich business programme.

For 14 years in a row the exhibition has been successfully displaying cutting-edge technologies, equipment, and services used in the industry, growing in popularity among leading international and domestic mining and processing companies. This year the exhibition sections have expanded and the exhibition has changed its name from MiningWorld Uzbekistan to MiningMetals Uzbekistan, thereby adding the related industries — metallurgy and mechanical engineering — to the mining section.

This expansion has had a positive effect on growth: this year’s exposition allows for showing the full cycle of development in mining, metallurgy, and machine-building industries. The exhibition appears as a multifaceted industry event and has become an appropriate platform for innovations, equipment, and solutions for mining and heavy industries. Compared to 2018, the exhibition has expanded by 40% and occupied Pavilion 3 and the outdoor site, with a total area of 3,000 sq. m.

About 100 companies from 16 countries — including Australia, Belarus, China, Estonia, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, and Uzbekistan — will present their achievements at the exhibition.

Exhibitors will present turnkey projects in the field of mining and mineral processing; metal-cutting tools; high-alloy steel products and metalworking machines; pumps, mills and milling plants; equipment and solutions for transportation of bulk materials — and many more items relevant to the mining industry.

In terms of number of participants, the top three countries are: China (29 companies), Russia (22 companies), and Germany (16 companies).

The collective stand of the People’s Republic of China, represented by 29 companies, will showcase the full range of technologies and services both for mining and processing complexes and for machine-building and metallurgical industries. The participation of companies from China was supported by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

It is a debut participation of Russia’s leading mining and metallurgical companies in MiningMetals Uzbekistan 2019, which opened opportunities for their entry to the market. Among them are Enerpred CJSC — the largest manufacturer of hydraulic tools in the Russian and CIS markets — and Iztm Engineering OJSC, offering a range of technological solutions for projects in mining and processing, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, and related industries. These and other companies represent the Irkutsk Region.

The Orenburg Region also debuts with a regional exposition, represented by Drilling Equipment Plant (a leading Russian manufacturer of drilling tools and equipment for exploration and mining); Novotroitsk Non-Standard Processing Equipment Plant (manufacturer of equipment from machine-tools to automated production lines); and Power Engineering Holding (a company manufacturing and supplying equipment and spare parts for mining, processing, chemical, and energy industries).

This year, for the first time, the National Stand of Germany (16 companies) participates in the exhibition; these companies will showcase products marked “Made in Germany”. Their participation is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). BMWi authorises official participation of German manufacturers only in priority countries for economic cooperation; group participation of German companies is usually possible at exhibitions with a high business reputation among professionals — a fact that underlines positive changes in Uzbekistan’s mining industry and confirms the high business status of MiningMetals Uzbekistan.

Debutants include Als Kazlab (Kazakhstan) — one of the largest global companies in analytical geochemical services; Aimix Group (China) — manufacturer of concrete plants, mixers and pumps; Bohnenkamp (Latvia) — major European supplier of tyres, tubes and complete wheels; Hifi Filter Polska (Poland) — leading European supplier of mobile and industrial filters; Rouleaux Pack (France) — market leader in conveyor rollers; and other companies.

The Sponsor of the exhibition is Sever Minerals (Russia), a provider of technological solutions for mining, processing, metallurgical and chemical complexes. At their debut stand the company will present an architectural model of an ore preparation complex, a model of a Multotec spiral separator, and a complete hydrocyclone pumping unit. The company’s trademark will also be featured on badges and ribbons at the event.

Many domestic dealers of the world's leading manufacturers will showcase product innovations: Dizel Komplekt Bel Servis (service and repair of special equipment); Epiroc Mining And Construction Technique (mining and hydraulic equipment); Geoterekalmaz (diamond tooling for exploration drilling); Rudmash Export Service (maintenance and warranty services for motorized equipment and drilling rigs); Vital Technology (representative of global machine tool leaders in Uzbekistan); and others.

The exposition, unique in its thematic scope, will enable industry experts and businesspeople to familiarise themselves with the latest solutions, technologies, advanced equipment and innovative systems in metal processing, learn about technical features and advantages, and meet hundreds of manufacturers and customers under one roof.

Business Programme

On 6 November 2019 the Uzbekistan International Mountain Forum — UIMF 2019 will be held in Tashkent as part of the exhibition. The Forum programme includes discussions on accelerating exploration projects; unlocking the investment potential of the country’s mining industry; attracting technologies and adopting best practices from global industry leaders to achieve fully integrated production from exploration, extraction and beneficiation to manufacture of finished products. A dedicated session will focus on advanced equipment and cutting-edge technologies for modernising mining operations.
