Tashkent strengthens its position as a modern metropolis

In the first half of 2026, 3.2 million foreign and 4.1 million domestic tourists visited Tashkent,reportspress service of the capital`s khokimiyat.

According to the department, the volume of exports of tourism services reached $1.3 billion. During this period, 140 new accommodation facilities were put into operation in the capital: 31 hotels, 83 hostels, 16 family guest houses and 10 facilities of other categories.

As part of the program “Travel around Uzbekistan!” 1.1 million residents of Tashkent made trips and excursions to the regions of the country. Since the beginning of the year, 203 new tourism enterprises have also opened in the capital. Their total number reached 2,673.

These indicators clearly confirm that Tashkent is strengthening its position not only as the tourist capital of Uzbekistan, but also as a modern metropolis, increasingly attractive to foreign guests,” the report says.
