UzAuto Motors: new welding workshop launched in Asaka

A new modern welding shop was put into operation at the Asaka Automobile Plant UzAuto Motors. For the first time, the construction of such a high-tech facility was carried out exclusively by Uzbek specialists without the involvement of foreign experts, which made it possible to save about US$1 million.

The shop, put into operation without additional costs and for a long time, testifies that UzAuto Motors is a platform for young specialists and their innovative achievements in the field of mechanical engineering.

Welding shop with a total area of 7 628 sq.m. was organized on the territory of the automobile plant in Asaka in record time - in 23 days. The project made it possible to introduce new technologies in work - laser soldering and the Vision control system for sealing door seams. Also, together with specialists from the University of Turin, a system for monitoring door gaps was introduced. To deliver the body and parts to the assembly line, the modern Korean EMS LK Hoist panel transportation system was mastered and the process of remote connection with control panels was automated.

The use of new energy efficiency technologies made it possible to optimize energy consumption in the workshop - solar panels were installed in the roof of the new workshop to provide energy for automatic lamps and ventilation systems, which significantly save the amount of electricity consumed during the day.

The production capacity of the new workshop is 14 JPH, which will allow an additional 60,000 vehicles per year. In addition, the launch of a new workshop at the plant made it possible to create 200 jobs.

One of the main advantages of the new welding shop is the increased production efficiency. Thus, now the process of introducing new car models will not affect the continuity of the production process, which in turn will help increase the amount of production.
