Uzbekistan will develop a mining industry with Mongolia

Uzbekistan and Mongolia agreed to promote joint projects in the field of production, including the development of raw materials. In Ulan-Bator, the Minheoo Uzbekistan representative office will open. Countries also agreed to find effective transport corridors and launch direct air traffic between the capitals.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Mongolia Ukhanagiyn Khurelsukh held negotiations in a narrow composition and with the participation of official delegations, the press service of the head of state said.

At the beginning of the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that his state visit to Mongolia is the first in the history of bilateral relations. It is expected that he will open a new stage in the development of Uzbek-Mongol multifaceted ties.

The parties considered the development of the Uzbek-Mongolian relations of friendship and cooperation.

The growth of trade and an increase in joint ventures, the beginning of the implementation of the first projects of cooperation in the fields of healthcare, education, electronic trade, agriculture, and the production of building materials.

The day before, a joint business forum with the participation of business circles and industry departments of the two countries was held in Mongolia, a trading house with a showroom of Uzbek products in Ulan-Bator was opened.

During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the deepening of economic cooperation.

Significant potential was noted for a multiple increase in mutual trade in the coming years, primarily due to the expansion of the nomenclature and the volume of supplies of demanded products.

For these purposes, the importance of accelerating the adoption of agreements on preferential trade and protection of investments is emphasized.

The President of Uzbekistan advocated the deepening of industrial cooperation. First of all, in the extractive sector, including the development of a geological exploration program, the development of raw materials resources, technology transfer, experience in experience and training. In this context, the opening of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Geology of Uzbekistan to promote projects in this industry was noted in Ulan-Bator.

An interest in deepening comprehensive cooperation in agriculture is expressed based on the creation of joint clusters and promoting cooperation projects for the processing and production of meat and milk, wool and leather products.

The interconnectedness and development of new logistics routes. Plans are planned to launch direct air traffic between the capitals by the end of the year.

It is proposed to conduct applied research on the definition of the shortest and most effective transport corridors together with the International Analytical Institute for countries that have no access to the sea.

The importance of continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges is emphasized. These days, the days of Uzbek culture, events in the field of art and tourism are held in Ulan-Bator.

An agreement has been reached on the active development of cooperation between higher educational institutions, the resumption of study at universities in Uzbekistan Mongolian youth within the framework of allocated quotas.

In conclusion, the head of state invited the President of Mongolia to visit Uzbekistan on a return visit.
